Thank you so much for your thoughtful response! My experience in tech has generally been extremely positive, so I suppose that’s a large part of why I felt the negative ones so strongly. I certainly haven’t experienced the same struggles that women and others have had to endure in generations past, and for that I’m quite thankful. Overall, the Ruby and JS communities have been amazing and very welcoming.
