Driving with a box of apples in my car..
One night I was driving home with a box of apples in my car.
My day wasn’t a good day at all.
I faced traffic. I drove my sister to school, she entered school 15 minutes late. But I drove dad just in time for his work.
Stuck in traffic again. My car almost overheated. Almost too late for me to notice that the car’s temperature level was at the peak. Blessed that when we got to stop somewhere along the way, a security guard and a traffic enforcer helped us fix our car.
Mom wasn’t able to go home in time. She needs to be home by 12 noon. But due to traffic, we arrived at 10 30 a.m. to pick up our orders. We however, managed to buy all our needed stuffs.
Missed a meeting for no good reason. I needed to stay in Manila till 1 p.m. for a meeting. I was waiting for 2 hours already when I wasn’t able to understand the cue to enter the meeting room and end up going home without being able to attend what I was there for.
Traffic again. I almost am having a bad day when it got worse. I was stuck again in traffic at 5 p.m. and I still have an appointment by 7 p.m. Imagine driving a 100 meters length of road took me almost an hour! Well, I still did manage to have a successful transaction though I’m late for about an hour.
Wasted and worn out of a stressful day, I grabbed two apples from the box, got in my car and drove home. While paying the toll fee, I saw the apple, in perfect red color, fresh and smooth, hand it over to the teller. When I saw that smile, I knew I wasn’t having a bad day. I don’t know how, but that smile took all the weariness away. It was a great day and I was driving with a box of apples in my car.
