Let’s chill.

Mac Demarco-Salad Days Review

Straight from Canada, Mac Demarco is a self-producing solo artist with music in his blood since childhood. He started making albums at the age of 14 and made his money through medical experiments and road paving.

In 2011 he made his first record that was well received by critics. His sophomore album, Salad Days, continues to prove that even a slacker can have passion for music. Mac definitely didn't change his sound, but he did mature in his own merry-prankster, gap-toothed way.

You could imagine listening to the song Salad Days on a lazy, humid afternoon on a porch, or even driving on a summer day. This album may also nudge you to question the complexities of life in an oddly honest way. The true making of Mac Demarco is that his songs make you not only chill the fuck out, but they get their feet wet in the beautifully haunting sounds and lyrics.
