Made Up Scandals
Hillary isn’t my first choice. But she is the Democratic nominee.
The Benghazi thing is the GOP trying to blame her for their cheapness — they’re the ones who wouldn’t increase funding for embassy security.
The email thing is a continuation of the practices of GOP Secretaries of State (Powell and Rice), and was done for a very good reason — security. The State Department servers were out of date, insecure, and a target for every foreign government hack available. Private servers can be secured by state of the art tools and administered by competent professionals, not out of date equipment from the lowest bidder with software from the lowest bidder on multiyear government contracts administered by burned out and frustrated admins. Unless the NSA ran the State Department email servers, I wouldn’t trust them to send recipes for pancakes. Considering the GOP cheese paring of everything except the DoD, NSA and ICE/TSA, I know they don’t have the budget to keep mail secure.
The latest non-starter is the supposed pay to play thing. It’s eyeroll worthy. If you run a major charity, and someone gives the charity a big donation, you thank them — in person. It’s what professional fund raisers do. You buy them lunch, or whatever. So it is not “selling access”, it is common courtesy, something the GOP abandoned years ago, along with common sense.
tRump won’t keep secrets, can’t hold a marriage together, has horrible taste in everything, and is the ultimate symbol of the decline of the GOP and real conservatism in this country. He IS the current GOP, all of its ugliness brought to the surface. Pence is the Dominionist side.
The GOP of the 1960s would be lambasted as “libtards” today. They aren’t just wing nuts, they’re wing tips — so far outside civil discourse and reason that it’s no longer even funny, and they’ve dragged the Libertarians with them.
Most of the GOP “case against Hillary” is a mishmash of blatant projection, hypocrisy, fake outrage, sexism, blatant double standards and manufactured “scandal” — in other words, pure bullshit. Everything tRump accuses her of he is probably guilty of himself, and then some.
It’s the same tired Rovian tricks, propped up by the GOP noise machine. These people need to be defeated so badly that they get laughed at as a fringe party every time they try to get on the ballot. Currently they are responsible directly or indirectly most of the pressing problems in this country — mostly due to their intransigence, faith based tinkle-down economics, reactionary social policy, privatization obsession and skewed financial priorities.
Please, vote blue, we need to take our country back from the unrealistic fringe.
