Yes. I don’t think I’ve heard more than a few snippets of Beyoncé’s music, but I don’t need to in order to cheer her work.
We who are white can witness Black art without having to be “included”, or needing to own it. Sitting aside to watch and support is just fine. If this is hard for you, tell yourself this: “It doesn’t always have to be about me. Really.” Then sit back and enjoy the show, or wander away and do your own thing.
