I found your blog post via my own search for answers and very much enjoy the ongoing (a)theistic discussion you have going.

Can I propose you look at it from a different angle? Assume that this IS hell. We are the fallen angels.

Revelation 12:7–9 “7 And war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels fought against the dragon. The dragon and his angels fought back, 8 but they were defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. 9 The great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world — he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.”

Perhaps the god of this world is not the Good God. We are cut off from Him by our physicality. The only way Jesus (the Son, the Father and the Holy Spirit) could accomplish what he did was to enter into the domain of the Devil in human form and try to show us the way out.

I’ve been pondering this for some time — and bought a Medium subscription to write, but haven’t jumped in. Curious to know your thoughts on this tangent.
