Building a couple of companies to a reasonable success level, I agree with “better is better”, but there’s definitely the question of how quickly one is able to level up to that magical “better”.

The quicker you learn, the better you become. World class results are delivered only at a certain level of professionalism, which takes a ton of repetition and time to get to. Shutting work on it down for an extra 20+% of time out of every week will certainly add a timespan, measurable I think in years, to the outcome you’re after.

Each individual probably has to periodically evaluate their goals, workflow and progress against this type of a calculation.
