Theatrical Values in the Limelight

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Theater is an interesting work of art, and according to Tee Quillin, professor at Missouri Western State University, theatrical performance is an important factor in today’s society.

Per Quillin, there are a couple factors that are included within theater, like psychologically preparing for a character and how to keep a script and show active and rolling. Quillin also claims that the theater’s purpose is to reflect society back at itself.

Quillin continues by speaking about how all you need to perform theater is a story to tell, and an actor who is willing to tell it. He finishes by explaining the reason behind the gender-swap of characters in Missouri Western’s play, Macbeth.
