What is self esteem

Self-esteem is the overall evaluation or perception that a person has of their own life worth or value. It is the degree to which a person likes, accepts, and respects themselves for the good the bad and ugly which It can be influenced by various factors such as upbringing, experiences, relationships, achievements, and failures.

High self-esteem means having a positive and healthy view of oneself, feeling confident and capable, and being able to deal with life’s challenges in a resilient and adaptive way. On the other hand, low self-esteem means having negative self-talk, feeling inadequate, doubting one’s abilities, and being prone to self-criticism and self-doubt.

Remember that improving self-esteem takes time and effort. Be patient with yourself, and celebrate your progress along the way.

5 Tips To Improve Your self esteem

1. Surroundings matter.

Surround yourself with positive like minding people. Seek out supportive friends and family members who encourage and uplift you to become better and mentally stronger. Avoid negativity At all cost and avoid the naysayers those who try and bring you down the ones who criticize you and doubt your actions.

2. Identification

Focus on your strengths and weaknesses. But mostly Identify your strengths and your weaknesses so that you know where you are lacking make a list of your accomplishments, as well as a list of your failures. Celebrate your successes and accomplishments as a reminder to yourself of what you are good at.

3.Challenge yourself

Challenge yourself at your weak points challenge your negative self-talk that you give yourself often in the dark. Learn how to Monitor your self-talk and identify your negative thoughts and beliefs about yourself and your future. And simply Replace them with positive affirmations quotes, Or sayings, and visualize the realistic positive and successful statements into your life.

4. Dive Deep

Dive in deep into learning and researching new skills to develop your character and self esteem. You can easily start by challenging yourself. By Taking up a new hobby or learn a new skill. Doing something hard, worthwhile and succeeding at it is a great way to boost your confidence and self-esteem.

5. Giving Back

Give back!

Giving back is a sure way to grow and evolve. Your character. For example Volunteering at your local youth or senior center in order the give back knowledge, testimonials, or time. Give back by taking the action to help others in some way.( Pitch in where you fit in.😉) Giving back gives you a sense of purpose and it helps you feel good about yourself.
