I Don’t Buy New Clothes Anymore — Here’s Why

You might be wondering how it’s possible to look good without brand new clothes. But the thing is, I’ve worn second-hand clothing for so long that it’s become completely normal.

And I’m here to show you the incredible benefits of this simple lifestyle change.

At school, I was known as the “French fashionista”. But, no one knew that the high-end skirt I wore cost me a grand total of $5, or that I snagged my French pumps for next to nothing.

All they saw was a slightly awkward college kid who still somehow managed to dress well and look confident (most of the time).

Whenever I got compliments, I would just smile and shrug them off, leaving my classmates in the dark as to how I managed to put together outfits that were simple yet chic — on a tiny budget.

But today, I’m sharing with you a little secret I learned.

Dressing well has less to do with how much your clothes cost and more to do with how well they fit you — and how you feel when you wear them.

In other words, you don’t need to spend a fortune to look good.

I’ve come to realize that paying hundreds of dollars for a few tops or pants and a pair of shoes doesn’t mean you’ll actually like or wear what you buy.
