Captain D’s Signs Franchise Agreement To Open 9 Additional Florida Restaurants

Captain D’s will open nine additional fast-casual restaurants in western Florida with the recently signed franchise development agreement with business veterans Larry Lavigne and Richard Reeves.

The restaurants will be located in the Tampa, Sarasota, Bradenton and St. Petersburg market.

The agreement came in part of the restaurant’s alliance with American Development Partners, which assisted with the company’s franchise development plans. During the last few years, Captain D’s has seen continuous growth and success. 2016 marked six straight years of an increase in same-store sales and four straight years of record high system-wide AUV.

Both Reeves and Lavigne are the company’s newest franchise operators who have plans to open nine new restaurants during the next five years in the Tampa region. ADP will help them to develop the new locations by purchasing land and dealing with construction.

Reeves has over 40 years of industry experience and is an operator of Taco John’s, Church’s, Checker’s and World of Beer.

Lavigne oversees and manages the day-to-day operations of 15 Jet’s Pizza locations and 25 other franchise locations. He will also be overseeing the operations of every new Captain D’s location.

Captain D’s offers an array of menu options. The company said the menu offerings and new beach design has helped with the company’s success. About 60% of its restaurants have the new menu design with an additional 50 restaurants to be remodeled by year’s end.

The company is striving to remain the restaurant that serves high-quality seafood at reasonable prices in a friendly atmosphere full of warm hospitality.

Captain D’s has more than 500 restaurants in 21 states and ranks number one in the U.S. seafood franchise. The company is looking for both multi-unit and single operators to help it expand the business.
