USPS UX Fail

I just posted a USPS package and noticed the QR code. Great! I thought, a useful application of QR codes, I just scan that and I’ll be able to track my package… Not quite.

The QR code is for a user survey. The tracking code is still 11 characters you get to type into your web browser.

Given the receipt printers have the ability to print QR codes, surely giving customers the ability to easily track the package would be a better use than the survey!
