Life Lessons from Baby Sea Turtles

what’s your natural instinct telling you to do? baby sea turtles — Playa Santa Teresa, CR

Had my lesson from sea turtles this morning as I watched a nest of them head out to the ocean for the first time.

On the first day they are born they head this instinct and head out into the ocean. Even though it’s huge and full of danger and even the walk there across the beach can kill them, they know that’s where they need to go and they don’t stop.

They don’t let the fact that they’re just babies stop them, they don’t let the fact that they don’t know the future stop them. They follow their nature, their instinct, their innate desire.

They travel for 5 years, come back and have their babies on this same beach- and these tiny little turtles 🐢 can live 100 years.

Today as you head out into the world, maybe you feel overwhelmed, maybe that ocean looks ominous or crazy, but if you forget your fears, listen to your nature, you’ll know exactly where to go and you’ll find your flippers and ride the waves.

There’s a great big world out there, are you going to follow your instincts and explore or stand back and watch? When you hit the waves, you’ll know how to swim.
