The Top Ten Upcoming Xbox Games of 2015

By Sir Milo Loftin

With the first quarter of the year gone and big hits like GTA V, Resident Evil: HD, and Battlefield Hardline leading the way, it is starting to feel like the New Gen is finally in full swing. While there are many great games slated for release this year, these are the Xbox One games I am most excited for upcoming in 2015. Leave a comment and let me know what you think.

10. TIE Final Fantasy XV/ Kingdom Hearts 3

Starting off the list is two highly anticipated games from Square Enix. While the exact release dates haven’t been determined both are expected to drop during the holiday season. Final Fantasy XV is the first true installment of the franchise on the current generation and the footage shown late last year looks amazing. Kingdom Hearts 3 on the other hand, has had fans salivating for its release for years and will finally be able to get their hands on the Disney/Square Enix Crossover that’s been 5 years in the making

9. Mad Max

Everyone’s favorite post-apocalyptic Mel Gibson movie is getting made into a video game to coincide with the movie reboot Mad Max Fury Road. The games open world environment properly named The Wasteland promises to be a venue for anarchy and mayhem for players striving to get the best vehicles and make the biggest explosions. As Goose said in the first movie “We’ll See you on the road, skag!”

8. Rise of the Tomb Raider

The sequel to the well regarded 2013 “Tomb Raider” follows the story of the iconic Lara Croft as she travels across the world and becomes The Tomb Raider. In the game, players will have to survive harsh conditions like severe weather, wild animals, and trained killers to discover the truth behind myths and become the legendary Tomb Raider.

7. Crackdown

The Xbox 360 cult classic is getting a reboot for the Xbox One. If it is anything like its predecessors, then Crackdown will be filled with mayhem and shenanigans but with more advanced graphics and a more powerful
gaming engine allowing even more madness to ensue.

6. Fable Legends

One of the classic Xbox Franchises is making its way to Xbox One. The biggest new regarding this game is that it will be FREE. For a game that would undoubtedly make good money this is a shocker. There will be no excuse not to download and team up with friends for the first time ever in the franchise. Oh, and its FREE!

5. Assassins Creed Victory

The latest installment in the extremely popular franchise will take place in 19th century London. If they keep the current trend of quality, Ubisoft should have another hit on there hands. While the company was disappointed that the games details leaked, gamers have to be excited to take on Victorian London as the newest trained killer.

4. Mortal Kombat X

Get Over Here! The legendary, gory fighting game is back with a vengeance. With a huge roster of playable characters and a brand new story mode, players will get to throw down and unleash the brutal fatalities that fans have come to know and love. Mortal Kombat games always deliver and I cannot wait for this one.

3. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Fans got a taste of this game with Ground Zeroes but The Phantom Pain will be giving gamers the full course. MGS games always come with a rich story line and a fun, stealth-based combat system that always delivers, which I’m sure this game will.

2. Batman: Arkham Knight

The finale of the Arkham series is going out with a bang. By adding the batmobile for the first time and adding on to a well established model, Arkham Knight should be the crown jewel of the already critically acclaimed franchise. Gamers will play as Batman as a littany of supervillains try to take out the Dark Knight and take over Gotham City.

1. Halo 5: Guardians

Last but certainly not least is the most obvious choice, Halo 5. The legendary Halo franchise has long been the backbone of the Xbox family and is making its debut in the next gen of consoles later this year. Fans got to play the beta earlier this year, but many are clamoring to get their hands on the game and delve deeper into the story of the world famous protagonist Master Chief. I know I certainly cannot wait to play.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
