The controversy surrounding the Katie Hill case is more a matter of what has been coined “revenge porn” in the digital age than the issue of an incumbent female politican’s decision to resign or not after the disclosure of her inappropriate affairs.

On her twitter page after her resignation Katie wrote:

“This is what needs to happen so that the good people who supported me will no longer be subjected to the pain inflicted by my abusive husband…
