don’t read this blog
an introduction to QUESTIONABLE LIVING, a blog by Logan Rowland

My name is Logan and you shouldn’t read this blog.
I know that’s a strange introduction, but I want to get out in front of what will become glaringly apparent:
I don’t know what I’m doing.
Along with that, I want to talk about some more reasons why you shouldn’t read this blog:
If you are looking for answers to all of life’s questions and problems, don’t read this blog.
If you are looking for academic research and hard hitting report journalism, don’t read this blog.
If you’re looking for cooking tutorials and discussion on the outrageous cost of cheese, don’t read this blog.
Seriously, don’t. I’m never (never?) going to talk about cooking on here.
If you’re looking for angry rants about the other side of whatever side you’re on, don’t read this blog.
If you’re hoping I’m even slightly qualified to talk about anything, I’m sorry, but don’t read this blog.
But if you’ve got questions about the Bible and those questions have made you question everything, read this blog.
Because I do too, and I want to create space to talk about that.
If you feel rejected by the church or fear you might be if they learned what you thought, read this blog.
Because I do too, and I want to create space to talk about that.
If you feel like you’ve got it, like it’s all making sense and if people would just listen to you, the world would be better, read this blog.
Because, lets face it, I often do too and we really need to talk about that.
If your looking for a voice in the wilderness, crying, “C’MON GOD WHAT GIVES!?” read this blog.
Truly, if you’re on the outset of broken faith, but found yourself to be Christ-haunted, read this blog.
Because, seriously, I do too. Every time I find within me the desire to step away, it is the rapturous love of Jesus that brings me back in.
We’re going to talk about the strangeness of the Bible, Christian community and the oddness of following an ancient Middle Eastern man we believe to still be alive.
We’re going to talk about the intersection of
science and faith
faith and doubt
love and fear
church and empire
light and dark
If none of that interests you, don’t read this blog.
If you’re scared to live a life of love for the sake of Jesus that is deemed questionable by everyone around you,
including your family,
your friends,
your church,
your job,
whatever you do…
don’t read this blog.
But here’s the next one.
