Obama’s Data Scientist is coming.
Hey guys hope you’re well.
This is me writing from Auckland, New Zealand at midnight. Pardon the typos and bad english.
Today I gave my presentation “How to think like a Startup” to 400 CEOs at “Culture by Design”. Got lots of good feedback. I reminded myself to set my goals ridiculously high. Just three days ago I was hosting a session on chatbots at SXSW in Austin Texas. Chatbots are sill hot, 1,000 people showed up.
I cannot be more excited about my upcoming event Leade.rs Paris April 11–12. We just announced our enterprise track.
Large corporations are important. They invest and acquire startups. They are sometimes too disconnected to the startup ecosystem so I’m trying to help connecting them.
I have secured two new amazing speakers. DJ Patil was the Data Scientist of the White House a few months ago. Here is Obama announcing him as the first United States Chief Data Scientist. He is one of the most brilliant minds I have ever encountered. Also one of the most incredible speaker I have heard. He’s never given a real big public talk since he left the White House. It’s going to be amazing and very rare. I cannot wait.
We also confirmed Alexandre Ricard. He’s the youngest CEO of the top French Public companies “CAC 40”. He’s reinventing his 18,500 employees company and investing and acquiring startups. He’s got it entirely right and there is a lot to learn from him. I randomly bumped into him in New Zealand (I know!).
It’s really going to be incredible. We are working day and night on the event and our product to help event organizers find speakers.
I am very impressed by all the support we are getting from everyone creating an event from scratch. Lots of volunteers and amazing partners we are about to announce.
P.S. I’m starting to be very personal and intimate in my “friends of Loic” Facebook Group if you’re interested to join.
I hope you are rocking it. We don’t sleep anymore but we’re having so much fun!
