Blade recently acquired hopOn, a San Francisco-based travel startup founded by Doug Morgan and Jade Van Doren. This gives us not only a rich platform for travel booking, but also two amazing technical team members. Both Doug Morgan (hopOn CTO) and Ankit Desai have relocated to Boston, and are now on the core Blade team helping to build our new travel company.
The hopOn service was designed to make it easy for people to plan and book a trip with friends. Some of this capability will be integrated into the Blade travel service — which we can’t really talk about yet. :)
