Why I am yet to blow

  • The feeling of not being good enough: when I say not good enough; here, it is not the ideas I’m referring to, I do have greats ideas duh...
  • Overloading the brain: I do not need anyone telling me that I have over a million ideas in my head, I sure do;
  • Several unfinished tasks : Different ideas run through my head on per minute bases, I end up with incomplete task. It was later I discovered that, in the process of working on one of the ideas, my eyes veer to other things which I feel it’s way better than the one before me.
  • There is always an excuse: As a human, I make excuses from time to time. I am very good at picking from a wide range of reasons to limit what I can do. I almost came up with a reason not to write this article. Most times, it is “laziness and fear” that leads to this habit of giving excuses, the fear of failing, the fear of making mistakes, the fear of uncertainties. Now, let me whisper a secret to your ears about how I have been dealing with fear over the years, I simply educate myself about my fears and I get familiar with them. Do this and thank me later.
  • Failure to set a target: I remembered back then when I was in school, I would make myself promise on getting specific scores during tests and exams, which I certainly achieved them. So, what then happened after school?
  • Remaining in the comfort zone: I wouldn’t know who or what your comfort zone is, but; someone or something is providing a support system that makes you comfortable within a space, I sure know mine, smiles.. Take this from me, there will be some bad times at some point in our lives and it’s all part of life, one needs to put in all efforts to rise above problems and move on. I challenge you today — get out of your comfort zone, do those things that seems impossible, fulfil your purpose and don’t waste your potentials.
  • Waiting for a miracle: Hmmm, sometimes I infatuate “oh I wish I met someone influential or rich enough to ask what my needs are so I can execute all my plans and fly without wings. But then, just know that nothing is free even in Freetown. You will pay a huge price for the favours.
  • Giving up too easily: The moment I get stuck on working on a project I hardly would go back to it. The truth remains that success comes from a series of trying, failing and trying again to bring out the best version of oneself. Thomas Edison once said: “ Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try one more time”.
