The Round-Up
Firstly, thank you to everyone who donated to the bgt fundraiser, I got enough money for the domain & the laptop 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾.
It’s been fairly quiet on the bgt twitter page for some time but for good reason. Things have been ticking away in the background and we have some cool projects in store for everyone to get involved with over the next year.
2016
For the rest of this year I’ll be rounding things up. There’s still at least one more podcast to get out and a new site to be launched but also, we have:
- bgt’s 2nd bday bash: we’re celebrating our second birthday in October & you’re all invited. More details to come within the next fortnight but I promise it’s going to be great. & there’ll be cake.
- Get the Salary You Deserve: A workshop which will be held in November led by a top business analyst who has experience in negotiation & in working with tech teams & departments.
- Newsletter: November also sees the start of our new bi-monthly newsletter where we’ll be keeping you posted on bgt related news, tech insights, jobs & lots more.
2017
- Monthly Meets: We have heard your cry & in 2017 we will begin our more frequent workshops and meet-ups, they will be a different format each month. We may have code clubs, discussion & advice clinics or presentation/workshops. If you have something to share, regardless of your skill level, you can email blackgirl.tech@gmail.com.
