Our base character’s name for LHC is “Art” — short for “Heart”. Art was inspired by 1930's/1940's cartoon illustration!

As two lifelong friends, we formed Lonely Hearts Club because we wanted to create a brand that had a positive social impact. As two people who have struggled with our own mental health, we understand how lonely those moments can feel. We felt passionately about creating a project that brought people together. Our mission is to raise mental health awareness and to foster a community that spreads love, positivity, kindness, and empathy.

No matter how alone you feel, here, you will never really be alone.

Beyond our mission of creating a tight-knit community, we’ve set a few goals for LHC.

Short Term Goals

More than a Profile Picture, An Avatar
We want to create pixelated versions of our hearts that live on top of the existing NFT collectible. (For reference, check out the Little Lemons collection on OpenSea — they did an excellent job of integrating this). This would prevent collection dilution and would add value to the original collectible by adding a pixelated version of your heart with the same exact traits. We’re looking to add this to our hearts because many of the relevant metaverses are pixelated, so the pixelated hearts will have an actual metaverse utility.

We want to start with pixel hearts but our long-term plan is to fully create a Web3 avatar for all our holders. Meaning, we want pixel hearts, voxel hearts, and 3D hearts to all live on top of the original NFT so our holders will have a true Web3 avatar — An NFT that’s fully compatible with every style of metaverse.

The LHClubhouse
The universe that the Lonely Hearts exist in is the LHClubhouse. We want to build out the LHClubhouse by acquiring land in all the relevant metaverses. This would create community building opportunities and our metaverse land purchases would be accessible to all heart holders.

Charity Donations
At the core of our project, we want to make a difference. We will be allocating funds to do charity donations regularly. We will always discuss which specific charities that we’re donating to with our community and we will provide the tx for every donation for full transparency.

Merch for Holders
We want to create high quality merch for our community. We’ll also be looking into feasible ways to make merch free for our holders.

Partnerships/Collaborations
We’ll be looking to add value to our community through collaborations with established and up-and-coming artists.

Long-term Vision

Our long-term vision is to become a Web3 media brand that focuses on producing video content that brings awareness to mental health through storytelling.

Specifically, we want to produce video content that’s similar to Humans of NY and Thoroya Moronesy’s content. The initial plan is to shoot street interviews in NYC where we ask intimate questions to get deep responses out of people and post-produce the footage for IG Reels, TikTok, and YouTube shorts. Initially, we want to focus on short form content because many video platforms are algorithmically pushing short form content out to wider audiences and because it’s the best way to captivate viewers.

Eventually, we envision building out LHC as a communal, homegrown operation by hiring from within our own community. As the brand grows, we want to source our community to create alternative longer form content such as podcasts, mini-shows, and alternative video concepts.

Our goal is to become a Web3 media brand because we believe that NFT collectibles and video IP working in tandem is the future. NFT collectible owners will directly be benefited by the success of the overall brand and holders are incentivized to support the brands that they’re holding. Also, as a native Web3 brand, it’ll be essential to raise brand awareness through video content to expand our audience outside of the NFT/crypto space.

While we realize this is not something that’ll happen overnight, having this long-term vision will always give us something to work towards. To us, it’s important that we have a long-term goal so that we are prioritizing longevity.
