LGBT persons have many wars to fight. Finding mental health facilities is one of them. The following are a few of these difficulties:

· Staff education to promote inclusive behavior

· Addressing bullying and intolerance among peers who are undergoing treatment

· Putting in place staff training requirements

· Creating program guidelines that take LGBT consumers’ needs into account

· Recognizing the sexual and emotional lives of LGBT clients

Some of the practices you can use to create a more approachable LGBTQ online therapist.

· Wear or display symbols that reflect or encourage a safe space for LGBTQIA+ clients in your workplace. This can include buttons and signs that state LGBTQIA+ “ally,” “equality,” “pride,” or “safe zone,” as well as a rainbow healthcare pin.

· Don’t presume that a client’s sexual orientation or gender identity corresponds to their preferred methods of sex. Request the client’s consent before bringing up their sexual health. Don’t presume that clients who identify as LGBTQIA+ engage in riskier sexual behavior. Invite conversation and judgment-free discussion if risky habits are present.

· You may create an embracing environment for your LGBTQIA+ clients, by understanding and internalizing the truth that they are powerful, strong, and entire. Please don’t assume that clients who identify as LGBTQIA+ have trouble handling their stress. Recognize how support groups and networks for LGBTQIA+ individuals can benefit your clients.

· Some clients might not want to feel obligated to talk about their LGBTQIA+ identities with yet another individual. But other clients might not have ever had places where they could express their identities and stories. Create a room for both in collaboration and let your customer decide what will be most helpful to them.
