Danielle Long tears her ACL, taking sports away from her.
Danielle Long, a senior in high school, recently tore her ACL which caused her to have a new outlook on life. Growing up, she played a sport every year since the age of 5 and always had a ball in her hands. She also gained strong friendships and life lessons playing the sports she loved. Danielle never thought her athletic life would be impacted until she tore her ACL.
In a varsity softball game, Danielle planted her left knee and heard an instant pop. She had multiple doctors appointments until the final verdict was reached, a torn ACL. She never missed a sport season and didn’t know how to react in the beginning. The injury taught her new things in life and showed how true some of friendships really were.
