Rehab- The work needed to get back on the field.

Student athletes have the pleasure of going to school and competing in the sports they enjoy. There are plenty of practice hours and time spent around the athletic facilities as an athlete. One setback athletes can have from the rigors of competition is injuries. They’re part of the game and accepted by athletes but not many people know what it takes to get back on the field. Jay Gorman, a senior pitcher at Montclair State, recently tore his patella tendon. His rehab process was documented and shows the behind the scene work needed to get back on the field. He needed to perform exercises in the weight room and at home so he would regain strength back in his knee. The process can be monotonous and tedious but is necessary for a full recovery.
