I’d like to think this trend toward more and more outrageous and irrational behavior started as the show veered away from the books, but I think fans put up with it for years because the story was unpredictable and consistently broke known literary and film tropes.

Last season really pushed me to the breaking point when it came to overlooking ridiculous and impossible situations (Arya got stabbed multiple times, miraculously healed and turned into a parcour professional leading, while Jon Snow reacted like a complete idiot, fell into Ramsey’s trap but survived everything he faced in the battle of the bastards).

But this season is beginning to feel like a bad zombie movie where the characters do the stupidest possible thing in order to get eaten by zombies. Oh, and here’s one now…
