Let’s be clear, one can decide to only look at the subset of facts that agree with your opinion. But there are millions of people who ignore the facts and believe in false or misleading information.

Reality is not a supermarket of facts where you choose just the ones you like. This is the great failing of the media for the last thirty-plus years. Instead of reporting that someone said something patently false, they do he-said/she-said reporting which creates a false equivalency between a factual statement and a complete lie.
