Travel Bucket List

When I was 16 I was lucky enough to travel to Spain, The Basque Country in particular. I fell in love. The town I stayed in was San Sebastian. I lodged with a wonderful family who sent me home with gifts of my family and a wonderful experience.

I have since then traveled to Mexico, stayed in an orphange and built houses (well one room shacks) for people who had nowhere to live. These two experiences were vastly different but I loved both equally.

After these I caught the bug. I wanted to travel……

Life got in the way. I married had children, a good job and the travel made it’s way to the back burner.

My children are growing up, and I am starting to think towards the future and what I want to do. The first thing that came to my mind was travel.

There are so many places I want to go. I am a serious Anglophile so England is on the top of my list. There is also Wales where my father’s family hails from and of course Scotland and the Emerald Isle.

I have made some plans to knock these of my bucketlist in 2018. I hope that this trip will fill my creative well and and I cannot to wait to see the stories that are inspired by these places.

The moral of this rambling post is that life is short. I cannot wait to explore the places that I have been many times in my head, and see if the reality matches the fantasy.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
