I feel sooo bad for not remembering where I once read an article about drug addicts that demonstrated that isolation (prison, for example) or rehab facilities don’t help with their addiction, but their reintroduction in society and the re-connection with their friends and family made them actually quit for good. So, like you said, the environment determines everything!
