How To Fix Microsoft Windows Not Responding

If you have Windows 10 installed on your system but you face the issue of Windows 10 not responding, then, all you need to do is fix the issue, go through following steps and fix the issue:

Method 1: You need to run the system maintenance troubleshooter:

Go through following steps:

Press Windows and X keys together.

Select Control Panel.

Select troubleshooting.

On the left side of Window, an option View All Option appears , you are required to click on it.

Select System Maintenance option.

Select Next.

Follow the on -screen instructions to troubleshoot the issue.

Method 2: Place your system for Clean Boot to fix Microsoft Windows not responding:

Log into your computer as an administrator.

There could be the case that your system might lose some functionality while performing the clean boot.

It is strongly recommended that you must not use System Configuration utility for changing the advanced boot options.

Go through following once clean boot has ended:

Reset the computer to start normally once you have performed clean boot troubleshooting.

In the Start, search for msconfig.

Select msconfig or System Configuration in the Search result.

In the General tab, you can see the Normal Startup option.

Tap or click on the Services tab.

Clear the checkbox that you can see beside Hide all Microsoft services.

Tap or click on Enable All.

Click on the Startup tab.

Open Task Manager.

Enable all the Startup programs.

Tap on or click on OK.

Tap on or click on Restart if it prompts to restart the computer.

You can also determine the problem causing element once you have performed the clean boot:

Log onto the system as administrator.

Search for msconfig in the Start menu

In the search result, select System Configuration.

Click or tap on the Services tab.

Select the Hide all Microsoft services check box.

In the Service list, select the upper half of the check boxes.

Tap or click on OK.

Tap or click on Restart.

When the computer finished restarting, check if the problem still occurs:

If the problem still continues, you need to repeat steps 1 through 6.

In the Service list, clear the lower half of the check boxes.

If the problem does not prompt up, repeat steps 1 through 6 and after that you are required to select only upper half of the remaining check boxes that have been cleared in the Service list.

If the problem still exists, it means selected service causes the problem.
