Meet Meawww.com —the anti-tinder from Berlin

Like many people, I use social networks in a daily basis. The difference between me and other users is that since 9 years ago I also used to build them. I’m a software developer.

I’ve been involved working on Smell, Saysadrem, Guardiano.pm and now I’m working for Amazers GmbH (an amazing company that provides SaaS Social Networks).

I’m also a fan of Tinder and Happn, those two apps work great in a big city like Berlin making easy and fun finding new people to hang out. But after I while I realised how interesting, open minded and nice locals are (in Berlin). You can have an idea of that just spending a night at clubs like Sisyphos or Bergahin.

But sometime Tinder and other apps works very good if you just want to find a one night stand. They work less nicely to find new friends or people you would just like to hug all night long without having sex. Or at least you may be misunderstood if you ask somebody on Tinder to hang out and cuddle. They will think you are weirdo or something. Anyway, they will never believe a guy asking a girl to come to his place to cuddle all night long without having sex. It will just be out of context for such a app.

That’s why I created Meawww.com, a very private network where you can meet people that are there only to find new friends that would like to spend some time cuddling or hugging and fight the cold and cloudy german winter.

The rules at Meawww are pretty simple:

• very strict door policy
• only trusted people can join (working on that)
• users have feedbacks in couchsurfing style, so: positive and lot of feedbacks mean somebody you could trust more. No feedbacks, something is wrong or is a new member
• you can only chat to arrange meet up with new people, find each other in a bar or at home and hang out for a bit
• you do something wrong, you are out

So at the end you know you have a place where other people like you would be interested only in cuddling and that, at the same time, are trusted and open minded just like you.
