If you are already using Windows 10 Pro then this article is maybe not for you but if you’re not then you’re at the right place. So Let’s Start,

STEP 1: Buying Windows 10

The first thing you must do is to buy the Windows 10 program. You may find different pricing for Windows 10 program ranging from $60 to $140. I personally prefer you to purchase the program from Cave of Tech. The biggest advantage to buy the program from here is that they provide support from certified tech experts free of cost, affordable pricing and the Activation/Product code is the onetime payment which means no need to pay any kind of monthly or yearly renewal charges. Once you got your product, you can go to the next step.

STEP 2: Downloading Windows 10

If you have purchased a Windows 10 CD then Insert the disk into your laptop or desktop and restart your device and soon the startup screen appears after restart press the setup key. The setup key is typically F2, F10, F11, or Del. But what if you have purchased it online then your vendor must have provided you a link to download an ISO file. Before download please check whether to install 64 or 32 bits version. ISO files are disc images, complete images of a CD or DVD bundled in a single file. After we have downloaded an ISO file we need to create a bootable disk. Please check Here: How to Create a Windows 10 Bootable disk

STEP 3: DECIDE YOU NEED TO PERFORM A FRESH INSTALLATION OR UPGRADE

After you have successfully created a bootable Windows 10 disc. Now you have to decide either to perform fresh Windows Installation or Wants to Upgrade from Existing Windows. Please check difference b/w the fresh Installation and Upgrade.

STEP 4: Performing a Fresh Windows 10 Installation

The process varies a lot depending on the computer that you are using. Traditionally, you would open the BIOS menu and change the order of drives in the BOOT menu. Newer computers use UEFI instead of BIOS, which needs to be accessed in a special way if you’re using Windows 8. To check complete procedure, please visit Perform Fresh Installation

STEP 5: Upgrading to Windows 10 from previous Windows editions

  • Insert the disc you previously created and run setup.exe.
  • Accept the license terms and the installer will download the latest updates.
  • Then, the installer will auto-check if your system meets the minimum requirements and if it does, it will show a ‘Ready to install’ screen. It may also pop up a ‘What needs your attention’ window explaining any reason why Windows 10 can’t be installed and what you can do about it.
  • Click install and your PC will reboot. You’ll see a Windows logo, followed by a language selection. The process should work automatically.
  • Finally, Windows 10 will boot, ask you a few questions and then ask you to sign in with your Microsoft ID.

Need to mention that even if you successfully upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 10, it may not run smoothly since the Windows XP PC is such an old machine running quite a several years.

Most of the time when you’ll upgrade the windows by following the above procedure you may see Windows 10 Home in the Windows Settings and if you need your windows to be upgraded to Windows 10 Pro follow the steps below:
