I have a disease I don’t talk about, but I think I might start.

Kasey, no need to hide any more!!! Yes, CMT can be difficult, I’ve watched my Grandmother progress since I was little, I saw how it tore my Mother’s dancing dreams apart, and I too have been recently diagnosed with it. I know what the constant falling is like, breaking something and not knowing, the odd looks that your PCP gives you when there’s no reflex. But there is hope, there is strength in finding other people out there that know what it’s like. You don’t have to joke about it any more! Tell people about it! Don’t be ashamed of it. Yes, it’s a terrible thing, but perhaps it’s up to us to make it the best known rare disease out there! Keep up the fight! You’ve got this! Just because things get harder doesn’t mean it’s time to give in. Keep exercising, keep learning as much as you can about it, reach out to others with it for support, and most of all, keep telling people about it.
