Dude. What are you talking about? Lou Williams made seven million last year. Hill’s making nineteen. Why are you trying to convince me that that they’re similar players as though that bolsters your argument when the contracts are so monumentally different?
And ZBo and Ibaka are miles apart now. Ibaka stretches the floor, can protect the rim, and, crucially, can fit into numerous defensive schemes. Even at his prime Randolph was pretty one-dimensional, it’s just that he was great at what he did. He’s now slowing down rapidly just as his game’s almost entirely gone out of fashion in the vast majority of current NBA schemes. Ibaka’s massively more useful now and going forward for any team that signs him.
And for the millionth time, I’m not arguing that the Kings shouldn’t have added vets to help the young dudes grow as players and men. I’m arguing that the way that the Kings have done it is very silly.
