Lol. This is where covering a foreign league can trip you up a little, because you’re not steeped in the culture, unlike those native to it. It’s a play on Red Rum, who, along with Shergar, and for a different reason, was one of the two most famous racing horses in post-war British history. The implication, obviously, being that Lukaku’s a thoroughbred, which kind of seems a little racially awkward, but I suppose it works.
