Jimmy Butler’s team’s not finishing above Chicago nor competing with Chicago in the standings. Paul George’s team’s not finishing above Indy nor competing with Indy in the standings. Jimmy Butler isn’t going to put the hammer down on Chicago in a Playoff game now. Paul George isn’t going to dominate Indy over a series.

That’s how Conferences work. At least when you hope to be a low Playoff-seed but know you ain’t getting far in the Playoffs.

We have endless examples of GMs acting stupidly. Seems thus rather wrongheaded not to be able accept that some might think stupidly.
