TV Mixed Bag: The Last of Us, Succession Preview, Ted Lasso is Back & RIP Lance Reddick
This week our red thread is all about TV endings. Before delving into that though, we start things off with our mundane postulation about vacation spots (2:22). Is a city trip always preferable to a beach holiday? And is the summer mountain trip a dark horse?
Then we wrap up HBO’s The Last of Us (16:40). We discuss where the season peaked and what we can expect from season 2. After that, we preview the final season of Succession (23:50) by revising our big bets, ruminating about who comes out with the hottest stock after four seasons and postulate about whether Succession is one of the most compelling pieces of television ever. Then Nicola gives flowers to Ted Lasso and we contemplate cutting Netflix for Apple TV+ (40:00) before briefly showcasing how Neil Lasso has been trolling the so-called FPL experts (46:45).
We wrap things up by paying our respects to The Wire’s Lance Reddick who sadly passed away last Friday (51:40).
