Makes sense somehow. However, you forgot that this is really nice for small datasets only. When it gets to massive datasets like the ones I have, it’s nearly impossible to store them in R, unless you have a “bagilion” gigabytes of memory.
The best thing still, is to have SQL to store the data, and R to process it. Dplyr also provides some tools to connect to SQL making the “transition” or cooperation easier.
