Wow, what a year it’s been. 10 Months ago LOUD began our operations as a Lifestyle and Gaming company. We sought to build a brand that not only captures the peak of competition but one that tells the story of each player, gradually showing the personalities and values that make up the LOUD brand.

Launch goals:

  1. To produce content engaging our audience each and every day.
  2. To empower everyone around us to be something more, do greater, make an impact.
  3. To be community first, by listening and giving back we hope to inspire others by leading so ourselves.
  4. A business model that holds cultural verticals core to Gen Z: Gaming, Music, and Apparel.
  5. A work culture that provides all of our staff with guidance and career progression.
  6. Player talent contracts that are industry first. Providing opportunities that scale with the growth of our talents.

Learnings:

  1. Content is KING. While we had quite some strong projections on our early engagement, we didn’t expect things to turn out this well. The majority of our operations teams spent these last 8 months aggressively increasing our ability to output content, while improving the quality and production of such contents.
  2. Transitioning from a “garage” operation to a fully functional 50+ staff company. This meant a lot of trial and error, having the flexibility to allow our young team the opportunity to step up and take chances in a live setting. This all came down to setting the right foundation, the guidelines that would later give both talents, and staff a way to create and have fun doing so. For us 3 founders, having the ability to trust in the managers and employees is essential for us to continue growing and breaking new barriers.
  3. Authenticity in this age is what differentiates a brand running on gas and one powered by pure passion. In a society where everything is digital, it is essential for brands like ourselves to stay authentic in hopes of raising above the noise in our goals to broadcast our lives, message and values. Keeping this mentality under the conditions of our rapid growth was a big learning stage for us and our young creators, to stay true to ourselves amidst all the publicity, earnings and ego.

Achievements:

  1. 9 Talents all starting from scratch to now holding a combined 15 Million subscribers on YouTube and 13 Million on Instagram. Both LOUD Babi and LOUD Coringa placed 8th and 9th in YouTube’s new breakout creators list of 2019.
  2. The LOUD main channel reached 4 Million on YouTube and 2.5M on Instagram. LOUD’s milestones this year include being the fastest growing new channel on YouTube globally, top engagement channel on Discord, and the largest esports brand on Nimo with a combined 6M subscribers.
  3. Special Projects this year included:
  • Partnering with EPIC Games to host Friday Fortnite events with a prize pool of $400K Reais streamed over 4 weekends with an average of 20K AMA (Avg minutes audience) across the event channels.
  • Hosting our first charity tournament Todos Por Um in which we invited the top teams in Free Fire to compete for the charity of their choice. Honored to have over 100K peak viewers and 65K AMA join LOUD for a good cause.
  • Our first music clip “Sou Da LOUD” that’s drawn in over 4 Million views in the first 2 weeks.
  • Our first Merch drop to pull in $240K Reais in our first 48Hours, launched in union with Sou Da LOUD.

2020 GOALS

  1. To continue our pursuit of content in all directions.
  2. Increase our Influencer roster, tap into New Games and further our footprint in Lifestyle, Music and Apparel.
  3. Company culture has been an evolution in progress, we see strengths in both remote and on-site work and will continue to flesh out our processes to further setup the LOUD team for success.
  4. Special projects are a constant WIP. 2019 was designed to test many of the projects our team wanted to do, through the learnings these programs will become something more in 2020 along with our other interests.
  5. We feel that Music, Apparel, and Games are able to culturally transcend the differences between the world’s markets. LOUD’s plans for expansion will only support this standing as we believe in this digital age, there are no more borders around connectivity.

To our talent, staff, partners, family and friends, it's been one hell of a ride. To close off our recap we wanted to wish each and everyone of you a 2020 driven by passion, the pursuit of greatness and to continue striving to be the best you can be.
