Monad, a Newcomer who has a Big Vision and Mission?

As we know, Ethereum primarily uses a consensus mechanism called Proof of Stake (PoS), not the traditional Proof of Work (PoW) method, to validate and add new transactions to its blockchain. Proof of Stake (PoS) is used to secure the Ethereum network and ensure the integrity of transactions without the need for energy-intensive mining, which is the hallmark of Proof of Work (PoW).

With all the success that Ethereum has achieved. What is Ethereum’s biggest drawback? Ethereum can only process 14 transactions per second which is so slow to to meet the daily needs of Ethereum users themselves. But, it will also lead us to another question. Why Ethereum only can process 14 transactions per second? The answer is quite simple, it’s because Ethereum still using a sequential method to process all of the transactions.

The Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) can also be categorized as an old but trustworthy machine. The Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) is a crucial component of the Ethereum blockchain. It is a decentralized runtime environment that executes smart contracts, which are self-executing contracts with the terms of the agreement directly written into code.

So, what makes Monad unique than other blockchain Layer 1 project? Monad has committed to using Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) as their technology base. However, Monad will make improvements to Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) to find what has been the source of problems with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) so far so that developers can maximize the potential of Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) itself. Instead of building Layer 2 on top of Ethereum, Monad prefers to solve the root problems of Ethereum first and this is a brilliant problem solution from Monad.
