Totally agree. I used to work for a company with multiple revenue streams that didn’t allocate a reasonable portion of marketing costs to CAC and assumed a 3+ year LTV for their SaaS product. Several years later, that product is still dragging along, holding down an otherwise very strong business. All of this could have been avoided by taking an honest look at the cost allocation upfront.
