Thank you for reading — and commenting on the post! I haven’t stopped thinking about your response since I read it, admiring your dedication to creating and sharing quality work. I imagine that you will find many creative ways of posting when the school year resumes — I had to completely revamp my early approach to blogging, when like your experience, it took hours to get a single post ready to go.

The big shove into something new was when I was returning from a weekend away and got caught in an hours-long traffic jam. Someone was else was driving, so I pulled out my handy little pocket journal and started playing with haiku rhymes because my writing time was so compromised and I still wanted to meet my personal goal of posting a blog post every day.

So, I posted that bit and it did well enough that I kept going with it. To keep blogging as you want to do can be an interesting, ultimately fun and rewarding challenge. Another blogger friend now posts amazing pictures (she’s a talented photographer) and adds a few lines about the photo she posts for the day — that has expanded her reach and saved her sanity. Other bloggers elected to blog less frequently, but more targeted and polished, say every other day or once a week.

I know that you’ll find a way — your writing felt lyrical, heartfelt, all my favorite things to read — and I laughed out loud at the image of my going straight on into the deep end.

I sure did. And it’s wonderful in this part of the pool.

Good luck!
