Oroville Dam is a State project, not a Federal one and the State was warned about problems but ignored those warnings. Why did the State ignore those warnings? This is just another example of how the State governing body is in huge trouble financially, California is already deeply underwater with unfunded obligations, so bad they actually started refusing to list those obligations in the budget to pretend they balanced the budget not long ago, the stick your head in the sand and maybe the problem will just go away tactic, lol.

As these things start to pile up California as a whole is going to end up in bankruptcy. Then what?
