Swedish auto company Volvo announced Wednesday that all of the new cars it produces will be either all-electric or hybrid by 2019.
“This is about the customer,” Håkan Samuelsson, president and CEO of Volvo said in a statement. “People increasingly demand electrified cars, and we want to respond to our customers’ current and future needs.”

This is exactly the way it should be, allow customer preferences to establish what the market will produce, not Government mandates. I can think of no other way to do this.

But let’s be honest, the average American could never afford a high cost Volvo, so their customer base is mostly the well off Liberal anyway, so it makes sense they are going ‘all in’ on the alternatives at this point.
