Influencers in Dubai will get a Dhs150 million government support fund

The Dubai government has allocated Dhs150 million to support content creators and establish a permanent headquarters for influencers that provides year-round support.
The announcement was made during the 1 Billion Followers Summit organized by the New Media Academy in Dubai. The event also celebrated the graduation of 90 content creators from the ‘Social Media Professional Program’ and the fourth cohort of the ‘Faris Al Muhtawa’ programme.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai emphasised the role of media in reflecting community values and people’s aspirations.
He highlighted the importance of influencers’ content creation as a tool to share the UAE’s story globally, showcasing traditions, cultural achievements, and the creativity of new generations.
“We have allocated Dhs150 million to support content creators and enhance the digital media sector. We are also establishing a permanent headquarters for influencers to provide year-round support. These steps align with our ongoing investment in creative talents, contributing to the UAE’s influential global media presence,” Sheikh Mohammed stated.
The vision is to support content creators and transform the digital media sector. The fund dedicated to supporting content creators presents exceptional opportunities for them to grow their businesses and showcase Emirati achievements globally.
The collaboration between the UAE Government Media Office and the New Media Academy aims to bring together top influencers and content creators, offering them the chance to create high-quality content and contribute to sustainable development goals.
The fund, which is valued at Dhs150 million, aims to “support the development of creative and impactful content, helping creators enter global markets”.
It aims to help content creators gain expertise, learn skills, and receive technical support in collaboration with the likes of Google and Facebook.
