Today, I’m diving into the energies surrounding Gate 32 — Continuity in the sign of Libra. As we explore the wisdom of Ra Uru Hu and the insights of the South Node and Mercury lines, we can gain a deeper understanding of this energy and its impact on our lives.

As you may know, Libra embodies the ideals of fairness, equal rights, balance, and justice. It’s all about “we” and the harmony of relationships.

At the time of this post, Gate 32 is currently residing in line 5 of the hexagram, which, as Ra beautifully puts it, is “the capacity to universalize, to bring it out not only to the gate at the other end of the channel but to begin the process of moving into the circuitry.” This is about collective change.

Now, let’s focus on the heart of our discussion — the energy of Gate 32 itself.

This gate is part of the channel of Transformation, driven by the energy of the 54th gate, the gate of Ambition. But what’s truly fascinating is that Gate 32 is deeply rooted in fear, particularly the fear of failure. Every line within this gate deals with this fear at various levels.

As Ra aptly describes it, “it’s a deeply conservative gate for the benefit of the tribe. It is trying to conserve material success because it does not want to be a failure. Everything about the instinctive stream has to do with achieving material success for the tribe. The 32nd gate is deeply concerned about whether or not it will be a success and is very much afraid of failure.”

The awareness in Gate 32 seeks to judge clearly what can and cannot be transformed, which leads us to the concept of memory and the smell of failure. Our memories are carried in the water of our cells, and this gate is all about the memory of what did not work.

Journaling prompts for self-reflection:

  1. What aspects of my life are influenced by the fear of failure, and how does this fear manifest in my decision-making and actions?
  2. How can I distinguish between what can be transformed and what should be let go of? Are there patterns or memories I need to release to move forward with greater clarity?
  3. In what ways can I embrace the gift of Gate 32 — Continuity, which is Preservation? How can I extend beyond my own world and self-interest, practicing restraint and trusting in my instinct even when it may not seem logical?

Keep in mind that understanding the dynamics of fear is a crucial step towards mastering its influence in our lives.

Take your time to contemplate these questions and insights.

I’ll leave you with a quote from the brilliant Toni Morrison which I feel aligns with the highest expression of Gate 32’s gift:

“Definitions belong to the definers, not the defined.”

I hope you found this post helpful :)
