Be More Than Just “Okay”
How often do we answer the question, “How are you?” with a simple “I’m okay” or “I’m fine?” This answer has somehow become the norm, the expected. What might occur if we really thought about it, got present with what is bubbling up beneath the surface, behind the day to day and the simplistic message of, “I’m doing okay” or even “I’m doing great.”
The honest truth is this:
A lot of us want to just feel okay. Quite honestly that makes me a touch on the sad side. Why wouldn’t we want to aim for more than just okay? Why not go for excellence, feeling amazing, awesome, beyond just okay.
We want to be at a stable place and achieve simple securities in our life. Like consistent money or just the consistency of a routine day.
However, I want us (or maybe it’s just me) to strive to be more than just “okay” and more than just “stable.”
I am all in. I am moving as quickly as possible. I am going beyond just the status quo and to be more than “okay” on so many levels. I don’t want just the norm.
Where and how in your own life can you shift to start being more than “okay”? How do you want to feel? What do you wish to call forth and bring forth more of? I’d love to hear!
“Always say ‘yes’ to the present moment… Surrender to what is. Say ‘yes’ to life — and see how life starts suddenly to start working for you rather than against you.” -Eckhart Tolle
I say yes to more than okay. I am all in.
