Lee’s Soundtrack: The Teen Years

Buckle your seat belts; you’re in for a wild ride. We’re about to walk down memory lane and look at the ghosts of my musical past. Back in my teen years, these were three songs that I was kind of low key (high key) obsessed with. Enjoy!

1.A Thousand Miles — Vanessa Carlton: Let’s be real, who didn’t jam out to this a 1,276,989+ times with their friends? White Chicks kind of ruined/perfected the song for me, but in the end it has marked itself as a true classic. Every millennial knows this song, and if you don’t, where have you been living the past 15 years??

You know I’d walk a thousand miles if I could just seeeeee youuuuuu… tonighttttttt

2. Baby — Justin Bieber: So back in the day, I was a hugeeee Belieber. Maybe some shame here, but this tour was the best thing since sliced bread when I was a sophomore in high school. I mean, look at baby Justin. Amazing. Nowadays I’d like to think my musical taste has improved, but it probably hasn’t. (I still know the whole Ludacris part btw.)

3. The Climb — Miley Cyrus: THIS. SONG. Back when this old thing came out, it was all over the radio. I mean, if you think about it, it’s actually pretty inspirational; one of Miley’s finest. I’m not even embarrassed. I hope everyone knows the words because sometimes this song just needs to be played. It really helped during those angsty middle/high school times. You didn’t need to be living a double life as a superstar to relate to this one.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?
