Stressed? You are not alone.

Life can be stressful. Whether we like it or not, it’s part of our everyday life.

Here are some things I like to do when I’m feeling stressed:

  • Deep breathing
    This is the first thing I do when I’m stressed. Deep breathing encourages my mind and body to slow down and return to normal.
  • I listen to soft music
    This what I love to do the most when I'm stressed. I usually would put my headphone on and listen to soft music especially instrumental. Music soothes me by relaxing my mind and muscles. Actually, I'm listening to soft instrumental music right now while I'm writing this blog. Oh the power of music!
  • Shopping
    My husband would say it's a bad idea but I don't care. It makes me relaxed. I set myself a budget so I won't get crazy. One time though, I spent over $500 for clothes. LOL. I don't know about you guys but whenever I shop, it makes me happy.
  • Visualization
    I close my eyes and think of my happy place where I am at the beach lying on a hammoch, listening to the waves and enjoying the fresh ocean air. How relaxing!
  • Hot showers/hot baths
    I like to take a ten minute hot shower when I'm stressed and also when I'm tired. I like to use a nice scented shampoo and foamy soap, it feels glorious. Plus it's nice to have time for myself...unleash the rubber ducks!
  • Screaming
    I would scream so loud into a pillow. It actually helps me to calm down. LOL.
  • Stretching
    Stretching has been linked to relaxation and stress relief as well as a greater sense of wellbeing. Its also incredibly satisfying.
  • Cuddle
    Although sometimes I want to be by myself, I also love to cuddle. Sometimes I would ask my husband to cuddle me for ten minutes. It helps reduce anxiety through the release of oxytocin in our brain. It makes me feel cared about and boosts up my self-esteem. It's the sweetest stress-reliever ever!
  • Getting a massage
    I love to have my temples massage. It helps me relax my muscles, and soothes my headaches.
  • Good cry
    Sometimes I just want to cry. Letting all my emotions out brings me relief. My husband would comfort me and I would lean on his shoulders. Ughh best feeling ever! Except his shirt gets soaked with tears and snot after. Oops? Hehe... LOL
  • Going out for a short drive
    When I'm stressed, I love to drive around, being out in nature, with windows down, loud techno songs in a background and smelling fresh air. It boosts up my sense of well-being and makes me feel free.
  • Doing jigzaw puzzle
    I love love love puzzles. This is my favorite past time. I've done them for whole days.
  • Playing League of Legends
    Oh yeah! Whenever I play this game, it just helps me forget the world for a while. Sometimes I would troll around, and it's fun! TEEMO!
  • I eat chocolates
    Milk chocolates! Sometimes you just need a bit of chocolate to get you through. Just pass me the freaking chocolate.
