It seems as though all of these points connect, mostly to 2 points; altruism, which is a way of thinking, and discernment, which is a skill. Empathy can not be fully achieved if you do not have the ability or desire (altruism) to discern what the person is thinking or feeling, and why. Optimism is very closely related to altruism. You can not be unforgiving and Altruistic. Eloquence, in general, is useless without Empathy. If you can not discern the needs of your audience and understand how they feel, your eloquence will be disingenuous and ineffective. Modesty is the foundation of altruism you can not be prideful and altruistic.
These points are attributes of a person who does not need to stroke their own ego and prop themselves up with pride. They know who they are and where they are going.
Great leaders lead because they do not need to follow.
