What an amazing article. I’m a permanently disabled individual, and have been since I was very young. It’s even more different becoming disabled as an adult, but you have captured the world of a disabled individual beautifully. I’m able to walk, with crutches, but my legs are permanently marked with scars and are somewhat deformed. The looks and discrimination from “non-disabled” society has improved significantly from before the ADA, but it’s still very prevalent, especially with employment opportunities and relationships. Thank you for your article. I wish you much luck, and look forward to more posts from you. You have a beautiful spirit.
